A few years back, WEE had a beloved Teacher named Mariza Martinez-Gay. She was a Pre-Kinder AND Spanish Teacher at Wee Blessings for many years. She was also one of my best friends.
In 2013, Mariza was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. And, in 2014, at the young age of 46, she went to be with the Lord. She is survived by a loving husband (Leonard) and 3 amazing children. 

Towards the end of her life, she asked Leonard and I to start a non-profit organization to help Wee Blessings with a scholarship fund for families who have fallen on hard times. This year, we have finally completed the legal process and have a 501-3C Non-Profit set up in the name of Mariza Gay.
